Security

FaxStamp limits how long it stores your PDF, sends card details directly to Stripe, encrypts web traffic, and deletes the PDF after delivery or resolved failure.

Payment

Card details are entered directly into Stripe's payment form and go straight to Stripe — FaxStamp's servers never see or store your card number. Your card is authorized when you submit payment and only charged after your fax is confirmed delivered. If it can't be delivered, the authorization is released, or you're refunded if it had already been captured.

Your file

Your uploaded PDF is stored only as long as it takes to send it. It's deleted once your fax is delivered, once a permanent failure and its payment release or refund are resolved, or automatically after about 2 hours if you never finish paying for it. Deleting the PDF doesn't delete the associated transaction record. That record can include the destination number, email, filename, page count, price, status and timestamps, payment and carrier identifiers, failure details, acquisition attribution, and a file fingerprint and embedded PDF metadata used for support, fraud prevention, accounting, and payment disputes.

In transit and in storage

Uploads and page loads are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and files are encrypted at rest in Cloudflare's storage. The final leg — the fax transmission itself, over the destination's phone carrier — uses standard fax protocols, which don't provide end-to-end encryption. That's a property of how fax transmission works generally, not something specific to FaxStamp.

Reliability

Transient carrier failures (a busy line, no answer) are retried automatically, up to 3 total attempts. If delivery ultimately fails, the card authorization is released, or a captured charge is refunded.

Service limitations

FaxStamp is a general-purpose fax service. It isn't HIPAA compliant or independently certified, and it is not a certified-delivery service. Do not rely on FaxStamp as the sole proof of notice or for time-critical legal deadlines.

Limits

PDF only, up to 15MB and 50 pages, to US and Canada fax numbers.
